Art in the Garden/Garden Art Contest To Be Held at Harmony Arboretum

By popular request Art in the Garden will again be held at Harmony Arboretum on Saturday, August 4th from 9 a.m. to Noon. This event sponsored by Northern Lights Master Gardeners Association (NLMGA) includes a variety of Make ‘n Take garden art projects, garden tours, snacks, and an edible flower presentation and tasting. Adults and Youth (15 and under) with a desire or flair for creating garden art projects are encouraged to attend. Basic entrance registration fees are $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Registrations can be made in advance or on the day of the event

In addition to the Make ‘n Take, Two Art and Craft Workshop Sessions are offered with an additional fee to defray material costs. Participants can select one or two workshops sessions. These workshops are held in two breakout sessions and include: Willow Plant Support, Willow  Flower, Pot Puppy, Wine Glass Painting, Paver Painting, Zentangle and Kokedama. Basic entrance registration (includes garden tours, snacks and edible flower) and Pre-registration Workshop fees are due by July 25th.  Early registration is encouraged, as workshop class sizes will be limited. For a descriptive brochure and registration form, click on the Art in the Garden Brochure, Facebook page, at UW Extension, or local libraries and businesses. A Garden Art Contest will simultaneously be held with this event at Harmony Arboretum in two categories – Youth (ages 15 and under) and Adult. Please provide a shepherd’s hook for any wind chimes or hanging submissions. A prize will be awarded to the most popular entry in each category as voted by participants attending the Art in the Garden. Advance registration (no fee) is preferred and entry must be delivered to Harmony Demonstration Gardens by 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 4th and be accompanied by an entry form.  See Art in the Garden.   Harmony Arboretum is located on County Highway E, Peshtigo, WI.
