2017 Garden Walk

Saturday July 15th,  9:00am – 4:00pm


Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 day of the event.  Special youth tickets will be available at the gardens the day of the event, 7-12 years $5 / under 6 free.



Funds raised will be used to support educational programs.

The walk is self-guided and the gardens may be visited in any order. Some locations may have stairways, narrow walkways and uneven terrain- proper footwear is recommended.

Restaurant specials will be exclusively available to ticket holders the day of the walk.

Julie Lindquist   N8562 Maplebeach Dr, Wausaukee, WI

With the rustic look of a log home and the charm of a country garden, not to mention a beautiful view of Lake Noquebay, you’ll enjoy walking this property and it will be worth the drive. This garden tour will include Julie’s charming garden shed surrounded by an abundance of perennials and annuals.  She loves to repurpose items to use in her  gardens. Come see the many surprises! Julie’s favorite is an old row boat turned into a very unique focal point in her yard. Containers will be overflowing with an assortment of beautiful flowers and many hostas are featured throughout the gardens.    Please park on the road only.

A surprise secret garden beyond the cedars!   This property integrates the original family homestead and the current home and business with a hidden, tranquil garden. It incorporates large boulders, bridges, ponds, waterfalls, vegetable garden, and orchard.  There is something of interest for everyone; enjoy the serenity.     Restroom Available.

Harmony Arboretum  N3890 Cty Road E, Peshtigo, WI

Visit the three acre Demonstration Gardens where something new and exciting can always be observed. There are multiple gardens maintained by Northern Lights Master Gardener volunteers and Friends of Harmony Arboretum. The UW-Extension Plant Pest Clinic will also be located here – Bring photos or samples for diagnosis.    Restroom Available.

Thomas & Cyndie Russell        N2127 County BB, Marinette, WI

This beautiful garden along the Peshtigo River takes advantage of the sun and the river views.  As you walk down the steps to the river you can see sun loving plants along the bank.  Shade loving plants border the woods on both sides of the house. An added bonus is the raspberries and blueberries along with a  small  vegetable garden on one side.  Home crafted arbors and obelisks are used to support climbing hydrangeas and clematis.  The patio and fire pit with a view of the river provide an area for relaxing and enjoying the view.

Vilas & Cheri Schroeder            N2122 County BB, Marinette, WI

This country garden has been evolving ever since the owners moved to the area over 30 years ago.  The gardens are primarily shade loving plants which encompass numerous varieties.  The main shade garden was redesigned to provide a path to the new garden shed and workshop.  An arbor holds a climbing hydrangea.  Garden art,  including 8 stepping stones with each of their grandchildren represented, are dispersed throughout the garden.  Cookbooks Available at this location.

Visit this Michigan Century Farm just a few miles outside the Menominee city limits and you will see a field of beauty.  The owner affectionately known as the “garlic man” is an expert gentleman farmer.  In addition to the garlic which will be available for sale, there are many different berries and veggies. Intermingled among the crops are various perennials.  Please park on the road and visit the north side of the property only.
