Community Development
Paul Putnam serves as the Community Resource Development (CRD) educator for Marinette County UW-Extension. CRD educators help Wisconsin communities deal with their own unique challenges – community development, economic development, comprehensive planning, business development and environmental/natural resource education.
Backed by an extensive network of proven professionals, field and campus based faculty, and University of Wisconsin research, CRD educators work with community leaders, local government officials, civic organizations, non-profits, and local businesses to help them identify their most critical concerns and to work towards finding solutions to their problems. My work is guided by the priorities of the residents of Marinette County, including local business leaders and local government officials.
My job is to help serve and educate the people of Marinette County, and our regional partners and shareholders. I collaborate and work with many regional partnerships and organizations. I serve on a number of steering committees and collaborations that strengthen the working relationships with Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula border counties. I frequently travel throughout Marinette County, Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to work with our regional economic development, local government, and educational partners.
If you live or work in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, please don’t hesitate to contact me or anyone in our Marinette County UW-Extension office. We will be glad to assist you, or put you in contact with people and resources from our partners in the Upper Peninsula.
Please let me know how UW-Extension can work with you.
