The Northern Lights Master Gardeners Association is presenting its 22nd annual Spring Garden Conference on Saturday, April 1st. The all-day conference will be held at the University of Wisconsin – Marinette campus.
General sessions provide a variety of learning opportunities for the balance of the morning and afternoon. The sessions will cover a wide variety of topics of interest to all levels of garden enthusiasts. From design to harvest, food sustainability, nutrition and gardening techniques, the conference will offer many more classes designed to educate, entertain, and enrich. A number of hands-on workshops include various garden art projects and making Herbal Cordials. Early registration will ensure enrollment in preferred sessions.
The cost for the all-day session is $40 and includes the Association’s famous soup, sandwich and salad luncheon. Workshops have an additional fee to cover materials. Pre-registration is required and no walk-in registrations will be accepted.
Between breaks attendees will have an opportunity to view educational displays, participate in a bucket raffle, or find special items at the sales and garden magazines/books tables. The “Ask a Master Gardener” booth that will be staffed by master gardener volunteers – so attendees should be prepared with horticulture related questions.

*Session 2 “Sustainability of Food Production” class has been cancelled.
